Westport Point is on the coast in the far southeast corner of Massachusetts. Westport Point is a U.S. Historic District; the main road through the village is lined with beautiful and well-maintained houses dating to the late 1700’s. Main Street ends at Westport Point harbor. During the 1800’s, Westport Point was a center of fishing and whaling, and the harbor and the houses along Main Street reflect that. Today the area is an attractive tourist destination, but tourism has not altered the peaceful and relaxed air of the village or the sounds of fishing boats in the harbor.
